The Al Nahda Scientific Journal's Authorship Policy outlines the criteria that must be met to determine who is considered an author of a published work, as well as the roles and responsibilities of authors. This policy aims to ensure transparency, fairness, and academic accountability.

Authority Criteria:

Each person listed as an author must meet all four of the following criteria:

  1. Substantial contribution to the conception or design; or obtaining, analyzing, or interpreting data for the work.
  2. Drafting or revising the work.
  3. Final approval of the version to be published.
  4. Agreeing to be accountable for all aspects of the work and ensuring that questions regarding the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Authors' Responsibilities:

  • Originality: Submitted research must be original, previously unpublished, and not currently under review in any other journal.
  • Acknowledgment: All individuals or institutions that have made significant contributions to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship (such as providing technical assistance, financial support, or writing assistance) must be acknowledged.
  • Conflict of Interest: All authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest (financial or personal) that may affect the results or interpretation of the research.
  • Errors and Corrections: If an author discovers a material error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must report it to the The editor-in-chief must immediately cooperate in correcting or retracting the paper, if necessary.
  • Data Access and Retention: Authors may be asked to provide raw data related to their research for editorial review and must be prepared to retain this data for a sufficient period after publication.
  • Data: Data used must be authentic, reliable, and ethically obtained. No falsification, manipulation, or fabrication of data is acceptable.
  • Citation: All works and sources cited must be correctly and accurately cited. Plagiarism of any form (including self-plagiarism) is strictly prohibited.
  • Authorship: All authors who meet the criteria for authorship (substantial contribution to the design, implementation, or analysis, approval of the final version, and shared responsibility) must be listed. Any other contributions (such as financial or technical support) should be acknowledged in a separate section.
  • Disclosure of Errors: If a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered in a published paper, it is the author's responsibility to immediately inform the editor-in-chief so that they can assist in withdrawing or correcting the paper.

Author Order:

Authors are responsible for determining the order of author names, and this order should reflect each author's relative contribution to the work. All authors must agree on this order before submitting the paper.
